^-^ GLEN'S HOME PAGE! ^-^

Hi There! Welcome to my home page!
Most of what you'll find here is related to Sailor Moon but I also have
a page on the Canadian Retailer that was, Consumers Distributing, as
well as a product I sell for Commodore computers, some links to my
political interests, and some commentary on Winnipeg ISP's.

Wanna learn Japanese?
One thing that's handy if you're trying to learn Japanese is an
on-line Japanese-English Dictionary. Check out Jim Breen's
Japanese-English dictionary, it's mirrored at several sites
so pick the one closest to you that's working:
- Australia
(Master site at Monash University)
- Japan
(ILCAA-Mirror site)
Also I've been informed about
JOYO 96
which lists some reference materials you can use to learn Japanese.

ISPs
Currently I make use of:
Autobahn Access
is a provider of assorted dial up packages, suitable for small users
that don't need any more than dial up speed. As I write this
(Feb. 18, 2008) they seem to exclusively use
Terago as their
upstream provider based on traceroutes from bothn Shaw and MTS.
Autobahn Access are the only one of the origianl independant
Winnipeg ISPs that
did not get bought out by larger companies. They do also offer
wireless high speed packages but these are typically only suitable for
bussiness users due to the higher cost. ($250/month last time
I asked.) They also offer a handy web mail feature for their
customers. I'm still a little bitter that they got rid of the
counter scripts for user pages without notice in 2000 though. ^_-
I have been dealing with this company since 1996.
Shaw Cable has provided the
"always on" connection I use for the
moonie.ca server since 1999.
It took them a little while to learn that the internet bussiness
is different from the cable bussiness but since then most of the
human/technical bugs have been worked out.
I also run moonie.ca!
Since I had a bunch more stuff than would fit in the space that comes
with my own Autobahn account I needed an overflow space. First the
overflow was handled by renting some space on Dragonfire, then my
freind Doug offered me space on his server. Unfortunately Doug's
server went down due to his moving so I got a cable modem from
Shaw@home and now run a web and FTP server of my own at with the
domain name moonie.ca.
If you can't afford to run your own server...
Dragonfire Internet Services
was a good place to rent web space but it had changed hands and became
less affordable eventually shutting down.
Some free places to get web space are:
My counter!
You are amongst
people to view this page since it moved to my own server on
Feb. 18/2008.
The counts between this web page's original creation on
February 10,1997 and Feb. 18/2008 were lost due to
Autobahn Access scrapping their counters. :-(
